Genomic epidemiology of erythromycin-resistant Bordetella pertussis in China.

PMID 30898080 · 2019

The study identified a novel fhaB3 allele in Chinese ptxP1 isolates of Bordetella pertussis, which was associated with a higher mutation rate and erythromycin resistance. Additionally, all erythromycin-resistant isolates carried the A2047G mutation in the 23S rRNA gene.
