This study identified four genetic loci (cbrR, cjaB, tig, and sapB) that contribute to Campylobacter resistance to fowlicidin-1, a chicken host defense peptide. These genes were validated through transposon mutagenesis, backcrossing, and insertional inactivation experiments.
