Molecular analysis of resistance to streptogramin A compounds conferred by the Vga proteins of staphylococci.
PMID 15728891 · 2005The study identifies and characterizes the Vga proteins, including vga(A), vga(A)v, vga(B), and Lmo0919, as conferring resistance to streptogramin A (SGA) and lincosamides in staphylococci. It also shows that vga(B) increases resistance to pristinamycin, a combination of SGA and SGB.
