Genome-Wide Screening of Oxidizing Agent Resistance Genes in Escherichia coli.
This study identified several genes that confer resistance to hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite in Escherichia coli, including katE, katG, rho, appY, mcbR, yncG, and others. These genes were validated through overexpression in MG1655 and inactivation in BW25113 strains.
