Novel tigecycline resistance mechanisms in Acinetobacter baumannii mediated by mutations in adeS, rpoB and rrf.
Two types of mutations were observed in adeS: one resulting in a substitution in amino acid number 51 (E51K) and an insertion by the insertion sequence (IS) element IS Aba1.
