Key Findings
A novel glyphosate-tolerant EPSPS gene from Rahnella aquatilis, AroA R.aquatilis, was identified and shown to confer higher glyphosate tolerance than E. coli EPSPS. Mutations in subdomain 3 and subdomain 5 of AroA R.aquatilis reduced glyphosate sensitivity.
