Key Findings
Two novel bla(KLUC) resistance genes, blaKLUC-3 and blaKLUC-4, were identified and characterized. blaKLUC-3 conferred resistance to several extended-spectrum beta-lactams, while blaKLUC-4 did not show resistance to the tested antibiotics.
