Novel Chromosomal Mutations Responsible for Fosfomycin Resistance in Escherichia coli.
The mutation F384L in uhpC was associated with a 128-fold increase in fosfomycin MICs and conferred resistance. The mutation was validated by site-directed mutagenesis and observed in E. coli.
