Key Findings

The study identified methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains, primarily belonging to the HA-MRSA-ST22 lineage, and detected one livestock-associated MRSA ST398 isolate. It also found that MRSA carriage was associated with frequent healthcare contacts.
